In fact, cacao trees absorb carbon dioxide at an average of 50 kilograms per tree per year helping fight climate change on a global level.
Enhance the lives of cacao farmers and their families
You directly help small heirloom cacao family farmers in the growth and prosperity of their farms, communities, and families through dignity and equality, health and well-being, pay equality, and dramatically lowered risk of child, forced, or compulsory labor.
Protect the biodiversity of cacao and the region
Not all cacao trees are created equal. The sources of the finest chocolates on earth are endangered. Preserving these cacao trees not only saves fine-tasting chocolate, it helps protect the local fauna, flora, and waterways promoting proper land use and protecting ecological sensitivity.
Keep cacao from becoming a non-sustainable crop
Farmers must make a living and if a sustainable, carbon-reducing cacao small farm fails, there is a chance that the same land will be used for a cow pasture or other non-sustainable farm.
